In the fall of 2010, we started building a new shop for our business to work out of. In the past years, our business has really grown, and we felt the need for a bigger shop to accomodate our supplies and help us stay organized. This summer we finished up the final touches of landscaping around it. Stop by at 7:00 some morning, and you’ll likely be served a cup of “shop brew” and hear the latest stories and jokes from our crew!
Having a small Altoona city lot doesn’t mean you can’t have a beautiful patio or water feature! Check out these great before and after shots for ideas on what Matt, another Tussey employee, has been doing to his yard! Last June he built the deck, and this summer he’s been working on the patio and bubbling rocks. After adding a terraced garden and a fence his project will be complete! Keep checking back for more updates!
Here is the back of Matts place before any projects got started. They just bought their house 2 years ago and are slowly fixing it up!
Weston helping with the bubbling rocks
Amazing what a patio, landscaping, natural stone steps, planter boxes, and a bubbling rock can do for an ugly backyard!
This rock has a pretty neat natural seat!

These gorgeous planter boxes are a real improvement to the little gravel filled timber boxes that were previously there.
Here are a few pictures of the waterfall and pond that Steve (owner of Tussey Landscaping) just added to his yard. After hearing his children dream of a place to swim on these hot summer days, he decided to replace their existing stream with a waterfall and pond. Cast lighting and a natural stone firepit gave this project nestled beside their guest cabin a finishing touch. Now his children are having a great time swimming in the pond! This is a great idea of way to add beauty to your backyard AND a pool for your children all in one!

Over the next couple weeks we’ll be posting pictures of several Tussey employee’s backyards. When your daily job consists of designing and installing beautiful water features, it comes natural to want your OWN backyard looking beautiful as well! Plus its good advertisement, right?! The following pictures are of Dave Biddles backyard. He’s been working for our company for around 7 years and is one of our 2 designers.

Here are a few pictures and testimonials from the Moonlight Walk we hosted Saturday the 16th. Thanks to all of you who participated in this fun event- you helped us raise $1200 for the ARC of Blair County! The tour included stops at 7 different homes and businesses, all of which Tussey Landscaping has installed beautiful water features and landscaping. This tour gives you a relaxing evening out AND great ideas for what can be done to your own backyard! Keep checking back with us for more pictures of current jobs we’re working on!

We went on the Moonlight Tour and what a beautiful night it was. Tussey Landscape does such beautiful work. It is like walking into God’s country. They did a paver patio for us and we just love it on Winterberry Lane in James Creak.~ Dave & Nancy Baughman, James Creak, PA

The Moonlight Walk Tour was a great experience to allow us to share our landscape project and our experience with Tussey Landscaping with others who are interested in outdoor living areas. It was wonderful knowing that the proceeds for the event went to a great charity like the Arc of Blair County! ~Brent & Cris Leighty, Newry, PA

Light up your night with CAST lighting!
Just because you live an hour or more from Hollidaysburg doesn’t mean we can’t transform your yard into a breathtaking retreat!! This beautiful water feature was installed near DuBois, PA. We started this project by removing an existing pond and stream and part of a patio. We replaced the patio with Gravel-Lok, added a 3 ft deep pond and a 20 ft stream. Then we finished the project off with landscaping and Cast lighting- which we highly recommend! Adding lighting to your outdoor living spaces means you can enjoy your patio or waterfall late into the evening!
